Hi there, and welcome to this week’s Sunday Reset. Sunday has become my day to unplug, dive into a good book, cook something delicious, and enjoy life.
Of course, life is still chaotic with two toddlers but I relish in the little breaks. I use nap time as a window to decompress instead of diving into chores.
This past weekend, the weather was perfect for peach picking, dining al fresco, and reading poolside.

What I’m Reading
Last week, I wrapped up Educated by Tara Westover — a memoir about a woman raised in a survivalist family who went on to earn her PhD. I couldn’t put it down.
This week, I’ve started God of the Woods by Liz Moore, a mystery/thriller set at a summer camp in the Adirondacks. It feels like the perfect end-of-summer read.
What I Made
For Sunday dinner, I made Gluten-Free Shrimp Scampi, inspired by Ina Garten’s recipe but tweaked to be free of gluten, lactose, and eggs. It still came out phenomenal and my kids loved it.
Here are my swaps:
- No egg
- Ghee instead of butter
- Gluten-free breadcrumbs sprinkled on top instead of mixed in
- No rosemary (didn’t have any)
I served it with pasta.
Earlier in the day, we went peach picking at Eastmont Orchards and baked a cobbler with our haul.

A Reset Moment
When Cole napped, I read God of the Woods by the pool by sipping on a blood orange kombucha.
After dinner, we took a neighborhood walk to wind down the day.
What I’m Watching
Right now, we’re into Black Doves on Netflix — a thriller with Keira Knightley playing a spy. I started and stopped 3 shows before landing on this one. I have two episodes left to go!
That’s it for this week’s Sunday Reset.
See you next weekend!
