Cup of licorice and mint tea from Tea Pigs on a cozy Sunday afternoon

Sunday Reset: A Calming Playlist, Licorice Tea, and an Inspiring Memoir

Welcome back to this week’s Sunday Reset — my weekend check-in where I share what I cooked, what I read or listened to, and the little rituals that made me feel good. If you’re craving a bit of rest and inspiration for living well without overthinking it, you’re in the right place.

What I Listened To: Morning Coffee Spotify Playlist

While tidying up the house Sunday morning, I had this Morning Coffee Playlist on Spotify playing in the background. It’s calm, cozy, and just the right tempo for folding laundry and wiping down counters. Highly recommend for low-effort Sunday vibes.

What I’m Reading: Educated by Tara Westover

Not New, but new to me, and finally off my GoodReads “want to read” list. This memoir is written by a woman raised by a survivalist family in the Idaho mountains who never set food in a classroom until age 17. I just started, and it’s already fascinatng.

What I Made: Licorice Tea

Okay, technically my husband cooked this Sunday so I got a pass. He made homemade gluten-free pizzas and chocolate chip banana muffins.

As for me? I made multiple cups of licorice and mint tea by Tea Pigs. I’m currently obsessed with this brand because of their non-toxic, compostable teabags. I wanted to change it up from the chai one (also amazing) I’ve been consuming on repeat.

Reset Moment: Phone Detox

My Sunday routine now includes a phone detox. I keep my phone in another room and stay off social the majority of the day. After putting my littlest down for a nap, I even snuck in one for myself. I also caught a few peaceful minutes of reading outside while the kids played. Small pockets of peace.

What I Watched: Stick

I wrapped up Stick, a golf comedy on AppleTV. I don’t know anything about golf and still found it fun and refreshing (sometimes a bit sad). It was a welcome break from my usual true crime binge sessions.

That’s it for today’s Sunday reset!

Until next weekend,
Jen
