The long-term quarantine has me finding joy in the simple luxuries. I am writing this post from my couch (where else would I be in 2020) wearing a face mask, favorite slippers, and yoga pants. This is the closest thing I am getting to a spa day at the moment.
I will admit, having this much time at home has been hard. For my own sanity, I’ve been doing what I can to enjoy what’s around me and enhancing simple daily rituals. There are a few small things that have been brightening my days, especially during these colder months.
Osea Moisturizing Face Lotion
While I can’t go to the spa, I can bring the spa home. This is one of the most indulgent, luxurious non-toxic moisturizers. I absolutely love it! When those colder temperatures start rolling in, I can feel it immediately in my skin. I know when it’s time to switch it up and this is often a go-to.
Chai Roobios Tea
I’m always a sucker for chai tea. The aromas are delightful and the spices are so warming. There isn’t anything more comforting on a chilly day.
I’m currently wrapped in a Christmas red throw blanket from Pottery Barn that my sister recently gifted to me. It’s so incredibly cozy and relaxing. Between the pandemic and this blanket, I have officially become one with the couch.
Jam Dot Cookies
When I think of things that make me feel luxurious, decadent foods always come to mind. These jam dot cookies always hit the spot.
While we are on the topic of food, have you tried Daydream Desserts? These organic, vegan, and paleo-friendly treats are the ULTIMATE indulgence. Chocolate is definitely a luxury in my book. Of course, we always take a healthier approach here at She Takes Five.
Indie Lee Body Butter
I recently tested out this Indie Lee body butter and it’s oh so lovely. Another clean skincare gem for the colder months. Take a hot bath and slather yourself in this body butter for the ultimate luxurious experience.
I love Bulletproof coffee. It is tested for toxins and doesn’t make me feel terrible afterward. I largely drink decaf but there is still a little bit of caffeine in it. A warm cup with coconut milk has helped make endless Zoom meetings a bit more enjoyable.
Last but not least, I’ve been enjoying my hot beverages in my William Sonoma Christmas mugs. While the holidays are certainly different this year, it still makes me happy to celebrate with festive decor.
What are some of the small things you are currently enjoying?
