Clean Summer Essentials: Hair, Skin, and Beauty

I love summertime. Not just for the warm weather but for the low maintenance beauty routines that come with it.  Of course, I have a few clean beauty summer essentials up my sleeve to help me feel put together with minimal effort. During the summer months, I find myself wearing less make-up and opting for my natural hair instead of styling with heat. Why? Because I would rather be outside enjoying the weather than fussing over my appearance.

And while we might not have many places to go at the moment as the pandemic is still in play, there are still Zoom meetings happening on a daily basis. In those instances, a little product gives me a boost and makes me feel human again.

These are the staples in my summer line-up. Some of them I use all year round. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Clean Beauty Summer Essentials

Honest Company Hair Detangler. My hair often gets knotted and tangled especially when I let it air dry. I generously use this inexpensive detangler when I get out of the shower to gently comb out the knots and tame the frizz.

John Masters Sea Salt Spray. I never like the way my natural wavy/curly hair looks with heavy hair products. Instead, I spray my hands with a bit of sea salt spray and gently squeeze into my curls to set them. I love this product for its organic ingredients and lavender scent.

Sun Bum Sunscreen. I’ve tested a lot of non-toxic body sunscreens and this one blends like a regular sunscreen without the harmful parabens.

Tata Harper’s Hydrating Floral Face Mask. I love rehydrating my skin with this mask. It feels extra nice after a day in the sun, saltwater, or chlorine.

Tata Harper’s Hydrating Floral Essence. This hydrating spray is a pick-me-up in a bottle. One of my favorite indulgences. Spray on post hydrating mask or whenever you need a skin boost.

Suntegrity Tinted Moisturizer Face Sunscreen. A lightweight, protective tinted-moisturizer to enhance your skin.

RMS Uncover-Up. I love this product. Sometimes I just use this to touch up problem areas instead of applying a full-faced concealer. It’s great for dark circles too.

RMS Lip to Cheek. A multi-purpose must have using certified organic ingredients.

Ilia Bronze Highlighter. Since I always wear face SPF, I need a little help from bronzer. This creamy bronze highlighter stick blends easily with your fingers.

Ilia Mascara. Lastly, I always need mascara. I’ve been using Ilia’s for years. This is not waterproof but it gives your lashes a clean, polished look.

  1. Thank you for sharing! I like clean, Nude makeup the most. Especially in summer, I want to do without bright colors and make it as easy as possible. Therefore, it is very important to find a good beauty salon where they will hear all your wishes and make them come true!
