6 Must-Have Kitchen Essentials to Save Time

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be made easier with the right kitchen essentials. Investing in a few key items can help you consistently save time and energy.

These 6 kitchen items are my absolute must-haves:

1. Vitamix

I honestly do not know what I would do without the Vitamix. It’s pricey but I’ve used it every day since I purchased back in 2013. This is the champion of blenders. I largely use it for smoothies, soups, whipped potatoes, and even to make desserts. Blend soap and water on high speed for a quick cleanup. Voila! You’re out the door in no time.

2. Smeg

This retro designed electric kettle boils water in a blink of an eye and automatically shuts off once the water has boiled. Say goodbye to the annoying whistling sound!

3. Crockpot & Instant Pots

I will be honest, I’ve only used a crockpot but I’ve heard good things about the Instant Pot from trusted sources. On my busiest fall and winter days, I throw a bunch of items in a crockpot and let it cook all day. Dinner is ready by the time I’m done with work. The best part is there is one pot to clean. Instant pots do the same thing but cook on a higher temperature, in a shorter amount of time.

4. Good Chopping Knife

Want to save yourself time and effort? Stop chopping vegetables with dull knives. Get yourself a good utility chopping knife for all your mincing and chopping needs. I’m a fan of the Wustof set. It makes cooking faster and more enjoyable.

5. Immersion Blender

You might be thinking, why do I need another blender if I bought the Vitamix? I thought the same thing, but the immersion blender is great for making soups that you don’t want to pulverize. Simply plug it in and blend right in the soup pot.

6. GreenPan Non-Stick Pans

Non-stick pans are great for easy, painless clean-up but many are coated in toxic chemicals. These chemicals can leach into your food and may be harmful to your health. Luckily, there are new kids on the block. I like GreenPan

These kitchen staples make cooking and maintaining a healthy lifestyle a little easier. What are some of your favorite kitchen items?
